One major advantage of burning dry wood over a carbon based fuel, such as turf or coal, is the extremely low ash content. This also prevents soot build up in your chimney. The glass on your stove doesn’t go black with dried timber, as it does with a carbon fuel or wet logs.
All our timber is split and stored in our 6,500 sq ft drying facility. All logs are cut perfectly to size and graded so that no small bits such as splinters or sawdust are allowed through. This speeds up the drying process and guarantees a low moisture content.
