John Butterly and Paul Rice set up BR Wood Fuels in 2011 in response to an upsurge in stove installations and the need for quality dry firewood. John’s family has been involved in the fuel business for generations and has a keen interest in sustainability and recently completed an environmental engineering degree, and post grad in sustainable energy. Paul, an Agricultural contractor and farmer, had installed a stove himself and was aware of the difficulty in obtaining dry firewood. Therefore between them with knowledge of the fuel business and the space needed for firewood processing BR Wood Fuels was born.
BR Wood Fuels split their firewood into net wrapped pallets and then store it in their own modified poly tunnel to increase the drying rate of the timber using natural air circulation and sunlight.
BR Wood fuels supply both hard and softwood, in 1.7net wrapped pallets, builders bags, trolley bags and handy bags. They have a unique delivery system in the form of a motorised all terrain pallet that can travel across uneven surfaces like grass or loose stone, to leave your wood as close as possible to your storage area or indeed in your garage or shed if space permits. Their truck is also equipped with a hydraulic crane for delivery of builder’s bags and trolley bags.
BR Wood fuels have built up a large stock of timber, and have a strong relationship with their suppliers and have a guaranteed wood supply well into the future. Their mission is to supply you with top quality firewood, quickly, with as little fuss as possible.
